I was surprised when I found out that many people did not understand what trackbacks are for.

This is a powerful linking technique that you can use to build some backlinks to your blog plus you get additional content for you to write about in your blog. And if you notice, some blogs already turned off commenting and only allows trackbacks. Thus it is important that you know how to do trackbacks for your blog.

I just tested by using a rss feed submission program. Immediately after my submission, there was a spike in traffic. For me, this was a forgotten way of generating traffic until a few days ago when I tried it out again.

If you have forgotten about this, do test it out and see if your traffic gets going!
