News From Big Brother Google - Merging Of All Search Results

Yes, Google is going to combine its search results. This means that we will get one she-bang of all the news, web sites, videos and all the rest on one page.  Check out the news from CNN here.

This is one interesting news. What will this mean? How will our rankings be affected? Will your current position on the search results be maintained or will it be pushed down? Or will this mean more eyeballs since now all the people searching are now all on one page? Already, we are seeing some changes at the Gmail site and the various Google Advertising modules recently when they started separating the accounts.

1. Always put your post in one single category only. If more than one category is assigned, Google might be confused. Set up “themeing” for each section.

2. Always use “More” for each post. This is to prevent duplicate content.

3. Always block posts that appear under other sections using robots.txt file. You want Google to find your post under the main categories only.
