Exploding To A Mailbox Near You…
If you have not noticed, several big names in the Interneting Marketing arena are promoting this new twist of viral traffic exchange. It’s called ExitExplosion. What this is about is to utilize the exit from your website by the visitor. Essentially you are “sharing” the exit traffic with other people. What the owners theorized is that if your visitor is going to leave anyway, why don’t you make the fullest use of these traffic by redirecting them to other offers which might interest them and in return you get some traffic in exchange? And it is pretty simple to implement on your website too. Just plug in a line of Javascript in your website and voila the script is working!
They used this concept combined with a viral promotion to roll out this traffic exchange. This is how it works :
There is a FREE version and a Paid “Gold”version.
The FREE version is of course no cost but you have to earn the traffic credits. Every 10 ads shown at your website is given 1 traffic credit. So for the free version, if you website is a high traffic website, then you can earn the traffic quite easily. Or… you can “recruit” affiliates under you and every ad the affiliates under you show, you will also earn 1 traffic credit ( something like MLM in effect… )
For the paid Gold version, you get perks like free 1000 traffic credits, you can put html tags into your ad ( even the opt in form ), you also get Gold member under you… very attractive indeed…
But I do have a doubt… this exchange sounds great but will the traffic be targetted? It would be great if they allow us to choose the type of websites we want the ad to appear in. Like if I have a very niche site like internet marketing website, then I would want my ad to appear in money making websites like work at home moms websites, websites providing hosting services etc. Why would I need my ad to appear in a website selling skincare products?
But any free traffic is better then none, no?
That said, do check it out here and do let me know what do you think :
(ps. that’s my affiliate link. Anyone having problems setting this up on their website can drop me a comment and I’ll try to help… )
I think it will probably do well for not so niche websites. And so, I am testing this out. Another thing I noticed is that, the exit popup may irritate the visitors… thus you do not see the popup here do you?
