Clickbank New Look And Clickbank New Tools!
Woa…
clickbank has been officially been changed from its boring blue to a bright chirpy red website! No more stale blue color…although the general look is still the same, just a major color revamp. But good news is that clickbank has some neat new tools.
PS. Dude, if you are reading this and you don’t know what clickbank is… er… you better sign up an account and start monetizing your blogs or websites.
New! clickbank HopAd Builder
This is actually a widget in disguise as an HopAd Builder… hehe… I think it’s about time clickbank has this. There are many other advertising programs online already offering this… ( for a long time - Amazon is one example! )
There are two types of “widgets” that you can setup here.
The first one is this “Text Ads Builder”

Just key in your keywords, your affiliate nickname and your tracking id. And then you will be whisked away to a customization page where you get to play around with the display of your widget. You can change the size of the widgets ( 8 predefined types and you can even do a customized one ), the color, the font type ( just 4 types ), the font size, the alignment… etc
And you even get to see a preview of the widget :
Once you are happy with how the widget looks, you can download the code in the next step. There are two ways you can “install” the widget on your website either by using iframe or list tags. I recommend just sticking to the iframe and forget about the other. Ignorance is bliss ( unless you are a css expert… please go ahead! )
Here’s how it is supposed to look like :
One thing I find that it lacks is an option to allow us to pick and choose exactly the products that we want on the widget or perhaps for us to choose the top performing products etc.
The next type is “Tabbed Ab Box Builder”
This allows you to create a widget that showcase multiple categories of products from the clickbank marketplace. Here’s my pretty orange widget I created for the tabbed version :
This version has less customization options. But easy to create.
clickbank HopLink Shield
Ooo… at last. Finally.
Ah… basically you just need to key in your affiliate nickname and the vendor nickname. Then click on “Encode”. What happens is that clickbank will encode that first part of the hoplink into a what looks to be a gibberish string of alphanumeric characters. Hence, your new encoded hoplink will be something like :
http://6cf1aatetpbuel7aoen5u-5r6v.hop.clickbank.net/
clickbank also highlighted that all the old format links will still be valid and be tracked. Question is : forever?
So, go and check out the new tools!
