Simple Article Marketing – Syndication 101 : Part 3

I really hope Slumdog Millionaire wins this year’s Oscars. Everyone needs a feel good movie during this period of uncertainty. We must all remember that our own life is really in our own hands! If you don’t do anything, are you going to get anything? Probably not.

Here’s the next part of the article marketing – the syndication of your articles to articles directories and content websites :

Once you have your articles ready, here’s what I always do… I use them on my own blog first. This will allow my own website to “stake” the ownership of the article. Once I do that the next step is to syndicate or submit the articles to other article directories.

Before you start submitting to article directories, you need to prepare your articles ready for submission. Yo have to prepare a few things. First most article directories require that you have a summary or a brief description of what your article is about. So write a description that is interesting that attract the visitors to want to read more of your articles. Next, you need to prepare a resource box. This is extremely important. The whole point of article directories submissions is really to get traffic back to your website or get them to click on the links in this resource box that points them either to your website or to the affiliate product that you are selling.

So getting the resource box right is crucial in your article marketing efforts. So how do you write a resource box? A resource box is allowed to have usually not more than 2 links. ( this depends on the article directories; so write the guidelines carefully ) What you write in the resource box is to attract the reader’s attention that there’s more good stuff than what they have read by clicking on the links. For example, if it is an article about article marketing, you can put this in the resource box :

Sometimes I like to do this :

With the “Bonus Tips”, it attracts attention to the resource box. It will seems as though it is a part of the article and people will read it. You can try “Bonus Resource” and then plug in your website. There are many ways you can do to get your reader’s attention!

If you are pointing to your own website, try to put the link on your keywords that you are using for your website. Eg. if you have a dog training website and keywords you want your website to rank well for is “dog training”, then it is good that you put the link anchor to the keyword.
